Northwest Lake Union

The Northwest section of Lake Union, crisscrossed with stairs, bridges, and docks, highlights the tenuous union of city and nature that characterizes Seattle. Due to its narrow coastline and steep topography, the area abutting Lake Union remains less developed, with a grittier, more commercial feel. The area joins funky Fremont to upscale Queen Anne, creating an interesting study of contrast and scale.
